Patricia Gail Routt - Obituary

atricia Gail “Pat” Routt, 78, a resident of Annapolis and previously of Greenbelt, died April 19, 2022. Born in Washington, DC on August 11, 1943 to Martin and Florence Holly, she was a 1963 graduate of High Point High School and took classes at Gallaudet University. A homemaker and mother, she was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Greenbelt and was a receiver of resources from the National Alliance for Mental Illness. Pat was an avid reader and also enjoyed knitting, gardening, painting, cats and dogs. She also loved hunting for treasures at thrift stores and yard sales. As a lover of holidays, she delighted in making them extra special for those around her. Pat is survived by her two daughters, Dawn Marie Delio of Richmond and Laura Parry of Annapolis. She is also survived by her many cousins across the USA. Along with her parents, Pat was preceded in death by her sister, Mary Elizabeth Harmon. A memorial service will be held in the chapel at Cheltenham Veterans Cemetery on Wednesday, May 18 at 11:15 AM. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Pat’s memory may be made to the National Alliance for Mental Illness (www.nami.org).
