Patricia Thacker - Obituary

atricia P. Thacker Patricia Peake Thacker, age 83, a 40 year resident of Edgewater, MD and formerly of Adelphi, MD died on Monday, April 20, 2009 at her residence of natural causes. Patsy was born on 1/23/26 in Washington, DC and graduated from McKinley Tech High School. She was the owner and operator of the family business, Queenstown Shell Gas Station in Hyattsville, MD, for many years and was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Davidsonville, MD. She was especially devoted to her family and enjoyed living on the water in Edgewater. She was the beloved wife of the late Earl Thacker; mother of Eileen Kaplan of Columbia, MD, Thomas E. and Robert M. Thacker both of Edgewater, MD and the late Marie Thacker; sister of Betty Alberding of Silver Spring, MD, also survived by 5 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Friends are invited to Patsy's Life Celebration at the GEORGE P. KALAS FUNERAL HOME, 2973 Solomons Island Rd., Edgewater, MD on Wednesday from 6:00 to 9:00pm. Mass of Christian burial will be offered on Thursday, April 23 at 10:30am at Holy Family Catholic Church, 826 W. Central Ave., Davidsonville, MD. Inurnment Lakemont Memorial Gardens.
