atrick Pessagno
Patrick "Jack" Joseph Pessagno, 79, a resident of Edgewater for 31 years and previously of Landover Hills in Prince George's County, died of natural causes June 26 at his home after a brief illness.
Born April 11, 1928, in Washington, D.C., Mr. Pessagno served in the Marine Corps during World War II. A licensed operating engineer, he worked at the Washington Navy Yard, the Washington Terminal Railroad and the General Services Administration from which he retired.
He was a longtime member of Cheverly United Methodist Church, and enjoyed crabbing, trout fishing and machine shop work.
Surviving are his wife, Margaret Moyer Pessagno, whom he married March 30, 1950; two sons, James Pessagno of Dunkirk and Patrick Pessagno of Crofton; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Services and burial are private.
