Paul Foley - Obituary

aul K. Foley Paul "P.K." Kenneth Foley, 82, of Frederick, MD and formerly of Waltham, MA, died September 24, 2011. He was born February 28, 1929 in Waltham, MA to the late Loretta and William Foley. Paul served in the U.S. Air Force as a pilot during the Korean and Vietnam Wars, rising to the rank of Major. In 1970, he was cleared to fly Air Force One while serving with the Airborne Command Post during the Nixon and Carter administration. He retired in 1976. He is survived by his devoted wife of 56 years, Mary Foley; three daughters, Lauren Foley, Patricia Ventre, and Christine Flowers; one son, Paul Foley, Jr. and three granddaughters. Friends are invited to Paul's Life Celebration on Thursday September 29, 2011 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Rd., Edgewater, MD. A funeral service and interment will be held at Arlington National Cemetery on January 9, 2012 at 12:45pm. Donations in Paul's memory may be made to the Hospice of Frederick County, P.O.
