Paul Racine - Obituary

aul Albert Racine, Sr., 82, of Edgewater, MD and previously of Oxon Hill, MD died on May 1, 2010 at Anne Arundel Medical Center. Born February 5, 1928 in Worcester, MA, he graduated from the New England School of Accounting. Paul was a WWII and Korean War Veteran. He was an active member of the Knights of Columbus and Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Edgewater, MD. He enjoyed following NASCAR and was an avid fan of the Redskins and Boston Red Sox. Paul is survived by his wife, of over 57 years, Doris Dion Racine; his children, Marie and her husband Stephen Ziobro of Baltimore, MD, William Racine of Baltimore, MD, Thomas and his wife Claudette Racine of Charlton, MA, Michelle and her husband Rev. Dr. Kevin Baker of Glenwood, MD, Paul Jr. and his wife Cyndi Racine, of Indian Head, MD; his twin sister, Paulette Speer of Massachusetts. Also survived by 13 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Friends are invited to Paul's Life Celebration at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Road, Edgewater, MD on Wednesday, May 5 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Thursday, May 6 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 515 Loch Haven Road, Edgewater, MD at 11:00am.
