Peggy Fritz - Obituary

eggy Jean Fritz, 69, a 36-year resident of Edgewater, died on March 22, 2010 at Anne Arundel Medical Center. Born on January 24, 1941 in Washington, DC, she was the daughter of the late Enrico and Frances DiPietro. After her 1959 graduation from North Western High School in Hyattsville, MD, she worked for 48 years as a bookkeeper for Parking Management, Inc. until her retirement at age 65. For over 35 years, she was a member of Women of the Moose Chapter 661 which is housed with Moose Lodge 296 in Annapolis. Peggy enjoyed Bingo, internet Pogo, jigsaw puzzles, Tetris and handheld Solitaire, but most of all, she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Peggy was the wife of the late Robert C. Fritz, Jr. whom she married in 1970 and who died in 1984. She is survived by two daughters: Tina Marie Dodson and Patricia Ann Fritz, both of Edgewater; three brothers: Enrico DiPietro, Jr. of Maryland, Jack DiPietro of Edgewater, MD and Richard DiPietro of Olney, MD and one sister, Mary DiPietro of Chincoteague, VA. She is also survived by six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Friends are invited to Peggy's Life Celebration on March 25 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the GEORGE P. KALAS FUNERAL HOME, 2973 Solomons Island Road, Edgewater, MD where a funeral service will be held on Friday, March 26 at 10 a.m. Interment Fort Lincoln Cemetery.
