Peggy Hovermale - Obituary

eggy Jean Hovermale passed away on December 31, 2021 from natural causes at the age of 86. She is survived by 3 sons (Keith Hovermale of Thurmont MD, Craig Hovermale and wife Holley of Rocky Ridge, MD, and Lee Hovermale of Houston, TX). She was predeceased by son Herbert Clay Hovermale and ex-husband Herbert Leroy Hovermale. She is also survived by granddaughter Crystal Hovermale with husband Jad Malaeb, grandsons Clay Wade Hovermale, Travis Hovermale, Austin Hovermale, cousin Lilly May Largey and other extended family. Peggy was born in Washington DC and spent the majority of her life in the Silver Spring, MD area. She worked in the medical field serving as an office manager and medical billing specialist in a variety of clinics including orthopedics, plastic surgery, and local hospitals. Upon her retirement she relocated to Solomons, Maryland where she continued to work or volunteer her time at the Calvert Marine museum, the Solomons visitor center, and gift shop at Asbury. Her hobbies included kayaking and painting with an emphasis on original abstract creations and landscape scenes. She will be remembered for her generous spirit, her love for salt water, a sandy shore, her heart to serve in her community, and her creative artistry.
