Petra Giddings - Obituary

etra Arianne Giddings, a 1 ½ year resident of Myrtle Beach, SC, previously of Waldorf, MD, died on January 26, 2009 at Ochsner Medical Center in New Orleans, LA after a lengthy illness. She was 47. She was born July 9, 1961 in Winterberg Germany. She was employed as the executive assistant to the chairman for the Mills Corporation. Her hobbies included singing, and loved to be at the beach. She is survived by her husband Mark Giddings, of Myrtle Beach, SC her mother Cynthia Bobick of Edgewater, MD, her sisters April Washington of Maryland, Heidi Lamont of Virginia, and Michele Ankeney of Virginia, her brother Brian Deimel of Maryland and her nephew Bryon Hale. Relatives and friends are invited to a celebration of Petra's life on Saturday February 7, 2009 at 2pm at Riva Trace Baptist Church, 475 West Central Avenue, Davidsonville, MD 21035. Interment private. Memorial contributions may be made to the LSUHSC Foundation, Carcinoid/NET Research Fund, 200 West Esplanade Ave., Suite 200, Kenner, LA 70065. Arrangements are by the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, P.A. Edgewater, MD.
