Phyllis A. Rogers - Obituary

hyllis A. Rogers, 84, a resident of Annapolis, MD, died from complications of COVID-19 on January 18, 2021. She was born on April 4, 1936 in Scranton, PA, to the late Phyllis Reid and John Harding. Because of her gift for serving others, Phyllis worked as a registered nurse. She enjoyed reading, bingo, and attending family events and gatherings. Phyllis will be remembered as a dedicated mother, grandmother, and friend. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sons, Bruce N. Rogers, Jr. and Scott Rogers; and three siblings, Michael Harding, Lucille Hoffman, and Barbara Riordan. Phyllis is survived by her high school sweetheart and husband of 63 years, Bruce N. Rogers; two daughters, Kimberly Gauvin of Welcome, MD and Patricia Smith of Odenton, MD; a brother, Thomas Reid of Rutherford, NJ; seven grandchildren, Justin Rogers, Gregory Gauvin, Jr., Andrew Gauvin, Morgan Reid Smith, Joshua Gauvin, Tyler Rogers, and Lyndsay Rogers; and five great-grandchildren. A celebration of Phyllis’ life will be planned when it is safe for everyone to gather.
