Phyllis Seddon - Obituary

hyllis Ellen Seddon, 77, a resident of Woodstock, Va., for 11 years and formerly of Lanham, died of heart disease July 28 at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore. Mrs. Seddon was born July 4, 1930, in Salem, N.J., and graduated from Caldwell College in Caldwell, N.J., with a bachelor of science degree in biology. She was a homemaker and a a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Landover and St. John Bosco Catholic Church in Woodstock. Her interests included wildflowers, bird watching, painting, reading, collegiate basketball and Washington Redskins football. Surviving are her husband, Dr. John W. Seddon, whom she married Sept. 17, 1955; four sons, Jeffrey Seddon of Crownsville, Matthew Seddon and Dr. John Seddon, both of Davidsonville, and Michael Seddon of Ellicott City; and eight grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Doris Warner. A Life Celebration will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Road in Edgewater. Burial is private.
