uinton Charles Fiora Quinton “Quint†C. Fiora, a one year resident of Leonardtown, MD, previously of Lusby and District Heights, MD, died of complications due to respiratory failure at Chesapeake Shores Nursing Center. He was 88. Born October 22, 1920 in Clarksburg, WV, to the late Anthony and Angioletta Fiora, he attended high school in Clarksburg. He served in the US Army as a Staff Sergeant and was a World War II veteran. Quint worked for the Department of Defense, Defense Mapping Agency as a printer. Quinton was one of 15 children and was the last surviving male. He was a member of St. Aloysius Gonzaga Catholic Church, and a former member of St. John Vianney Catholic Church, in Prince Frederick, MD, and a member of the Knights of Columbus and the Holy Name Society. His interests included gardening, bird watching, cheering for the Redskins, a love of his family and a love of food, especially seafood “Everything I Seeâ€. Quint is survived by his wife of 60 years, Blanche H. Fiora, his children Pamela (Dennis) Gavin, Patricia( Thomas Meerholz) Fiora, Richard (Jacquelyn) Fiora, Valerie (Roland) Hayden, and Anita (James Hunt) Fiora-Hunt. Also survived by his sisters Jennie Pios, Yolanda Miara, Angeline Fiora and Catherine Fiora, Lillian Traver and Virginia Masse and Mafalda Rhule. Loving grandfather of Kerry, Wendy, Amy, Alyssa, Collin, Amara, Ashlyn, Chris, Matt, Ryan, Brett, Todd, Christa and Bethany. Great grandfather of Jessie, Bobby, Hope and Summer. Also survived by his grand doggies: Scruffy, Mufasa, Hunter, Linus, Holly, Haley, Kaiya, Pax and Lola, and his grand kitties, Ally, Braille, Astrid and Harrison. Friends are invited to Quinton's Life Celebration at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, 105 Vianney Lane, Prince Frederick, MD on Tuesday from 5-8pm and Wednesday from 10am until a Mass of Christian Burial is offered at 11am. Interment Resurrection Cemetery, Clinton, MD. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association or to the Arthritis Foundation. Arrangements are by the George P.
