Rachel Hall - Obituary

achel F. Hall, 92, a 54-year resident of Annapolis and formerly of Washington, DC, died on Sunday, July 29, 2012 at Anne Arundel Medical Center. She was born on August 19, 1919 in Michie, TN, to the late Barlett and Lilie Jordan and worked as a Senior Administrator for the D.C. Dept. of Health Services. Rachel was a former member of Coral Baptist Church in Cape Coral, FL, and was a member of Heritage Baptist and Weems Creek Baptist Church, where she was a member of the Christian Woman’s Group for 15 years. Her hobbies included knitting, crocheting, needlepoint and travelling. Rachel and her late husband Thomas, travelled to all 50 states, 48 of which they traveled to by way of their Airstream camper. In addition to her parents, Rachel was predeceased by her husband, Thomas F. Hall and her sisters; Virginia Smith and Latane Graham. She is survived by her children, Sue Carle of King George, VA, John Hall of Abingdon, MD and Gene Hall of Middletown, DE, her grandchildren; Cathy Lyon, Deborah Pound, Andrew, Nick, Joe and Stephen Hall. Also survived by five great-grandchildren. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, August 4, 2012 at 11:00 at Ft. Lincoln Cemetery, 3401 Bladensburg Road, Brentwood, MD 20722.
