n Saturday, May 3, 2014, God saw that he needed another beautiful flower for his garden so he reached down and chose our beloved Ramona. Ramona Denise Pritchett was born
May 22, 1960 in Trenton, New Jersey to Helen Pritchett and the late Raymond Pritchett.
Ramona graduated from Oxon Hill Senior High School in 1978. She began her career at the U.S. Department of State and then the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) where she retired due to her declining health. Ramona received multiple accolades for her performance and willingness to assist her fellow colleagues.
Ramona accepted Christ and could often be found sitting quietly reading her Bible. Despite the discomfort that her health challenges presented, she continued to bring sunshine to her family. Her close relationship with the Heavenly Father enabled her to bear her illness with courage and patience.
Additionally, she was independent, and always had an open ear for listening and if you knew her well she always had some advice for what you should do, even if she wasn't quick to follow her advice herself. When she became ill, she never appeared to be unhappy. Her passions were dancing, music, cooking for her family, and expressing herself through her poems and drawings.
She was preceded in death by her father, Raymond Pritchett, and a sister, Linda Pritchett.
She leaves to celebrate her life with precious memories: her mother, Helen Pritchett; three sons: Larry Pritchett, Raymond Pritchett and Delante Pritchett; one daughter-in-law, Gina Pritchett; six grandchildren; two sisters: Debra Davis and Rae Revelle; one brother-in-law, Joseph Davis; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to Ramona's Life Celebration on Friday, May 16, 2014 at 11am at the GEORGE P. KALAS FUNERAL HOME, 6160 Oxon Hill Rd., Oxon Hill, MD. Interment private.
