andall Jay Brunk 59, of Crownsville MD passed away on September 23, 2014; he was born September 9, 1955 in Hyattsville, MD to the late Perry Edwin Brunk and the late Fern Maust Brunk. Randy received a Bachelor’s of Science in Computer Science from the University of Maryland. He was employed at People’s Supply Company for over 25 years, his last position there was President and CFO of the company. During his tenure as president, Randy was also an active board member of the Eastern Building Material Dealers Association. He spent his later years completing an accounting degree from Strayer University. While his children were growing up, Randy volunteered his time as a soccer and basketball coach for the Arden Rec League and as a member of the Pit Crew Dads on the AACS Golden Eagles Marching Band. He enjoyed bird watching, traveling, science fiction, telling corny puns, classical music, the opera and singing in the Our Lady of the Fields church choir for over 10 years. Randy loved going to baseball games and cheered for the Nationals and Redskins. Randall is survived by his wife Elizabeth (Firebaugh) Brunk and their children, Emily Rose 24, of Baltimore, Mary Kathryn 22, of Crownsville and David Perry 19, of Crownsville. He is also survived brother Steven Bradley Brunk and wife Cathy, Anthony Maust Brunk and wife Lakeeta both of University Park, MD Sylvia Joy (Brunk) Reece and husband Michael of New Holland, PA, Janette Louise Brunk of Weyers Cave, VA and Christina Von Rotz Brunk and husband Urs of Harrisonburg, VA. He is also survived by loving in laws and twenty-nine nieces and nephews. A viewing will be held on Sunday, September 28th, 2014 from 2:00pm until 4:00pm and 6:00pm until 8:00pm at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home in Edgewater, MD. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday September 29 at 11:00 am at Our Lady of the Fields Catholic Church in Millersville, MD.
