andall Eugene Gross, "Randy," a 13-year resident of Crumpton, MD and previously of Annapolis, MD, died unexpectedly at University of Maryland Medical Center on Monday, September 4, 2017. He was 68.
Born July 30, 1949, in Bluefield, WV to the late Raymond and Dorothy Puckett Gross, he graduated from Severna Park High School. Randy was an elite status truck driver; moving several members of Congress, senators, business officers and once moving one of the engines of Elvis’ private plane the Lisa Marie. He also worked as a driver hauling items for various conventions. Randy was the first private company to donate their time and tractor-trailer to deliver supplies to Katrina victims following the hurricane. He enjoyed puzzles, games, model cars, watching old movies and anything Elvis Presley. Randy especially loved people, talking and sharing his life experiences and his family. Because of his job, he was physically away from his family, but they were forever on his mind.
Randy's two daughters, Tonya and Miranda, were always held close to his heart. He is also survived by his three siblings, Clarence Gross (Margie) of Worton, MD, Linda Hatfield of Worton, MD and Barbara Boblitz (Bob) of Vero Beach, FL; and his many friends scattered throughout the country.
A graveside service will be held on Sunday, September 10, 2017, at 1:00 p.m. at Lakemont Memorial Gardens, 900 W. Central Avenue, Davidsonville, MD.
