Randall Powell - Obituary

andall “Randy” Lee Powell, 57, a 2 year resident of Annapolis, MD and previously of Solomons Island, MD for over 25 years died on September 17, 2008 at the Carroll Hospice House of Shy Drager Syndrome/Multiple Systems Atrophy (MSA) after a six year illness. Born on August 20, 1951 in Ohio, he was self employed in the construction business. His hobbies included fishing and scuba diving. Survivors include his former wife, Lisa Powell of Jacksonville, FL, whom he married November 22, 1981 and divorced in May of 2008; father of Chris Connelly of Timonium, MD, Julie Hoksbergen of Severna Park, MD and Kari Powell of Hollywood, FL; brother of Robert Powell of Tampa, FL and Richard Powell of Mt. Airy, MD; son of Mary Powell of Annapolis, MD and the late Robert Powell; also survived by 1 grandchild. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 20, 2008 at 11:00 A.M. at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Road, Edgewater, MD. Interment private. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Union Memorial Hospital Foundation, Department of Research, 201 East Union Parkway, Baltimore, MD 21218.
