Raymond DeVaughn - Obituary

aymond E. DeVaughn, age 88, a 3-year resident of Edgewater, MD, died on Monday, May 25, 2009 at Anne Arundel Medical Center after a lengthy illness. He was born, raised and spent most of his life in Upper Marlboro, MD where he developed lifelong interests in hunting and farming. Raymond pursued a career as a steamfitter with Steamfitters Union Local 602. He was the beloved husband of the late Margaret Harrison DeVaughn and Louise Chaney DeVaughn; father of Sandra DeVaughn Fitzpatrick; father in law of Mike Fitzpatrick; grandfather of Eddie Loveless; great grandfather of Hunter Loveless, he was pre-deceased by three sisters and four brothers. Friends are invited to Raymond's Life Celebration at the GEORGE P. KALAS FUNERAL HOME, 2973 Solomons Island Rd., Edgewater, MD on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8PM. Funeral service will be held on Friday, May 29 at 11:00AM at the Chesapeake Christian Fellowship, Davidsonville, MD. Interment Washington National Cemetery, Suitland, MD.
