Raymond Higgs - Obituary

aymond "Bucky" Edward Higgs, 77, a 54-year resident of Edgewater, MD, and previously of Annapolis, MD, died on January 15, 2025, of Alzheimer's Disease. Born June 14, 1947, in Annapolis, MD, to the late Thomas Charles Edward and Alice Ellen Higgs, he owned Tile-Rite for 40 years. Bucky served his country in Okinawa, Japan, while in the U.S. Army from 1967-69. He enjoyed car shows, yard work, and nature watching. In addition to his parents, Bucky was preceded in death by his daughter, Laura Higgs. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Sharon Higgs; a daughter, Jessica Rodriguez of Edgewater, MD; and three grandchildren, Jade, Vincent, and Jayvin. Friends are invited to celebrate Bucky's life at the Kalas Funeral Home & Crematory, 2973 Solomons Island Rd., Edgewater, MD, on Sunday, March 2, from 11 am to 2 pm, with military honors at 1 pm.
