aymond Floyd “Ray” McDonald, III, age 38 and a ten year resident of Edgewater, died January 25, 2022. He was born October 28, 1983 in Clinton, MD and was a 2001 graduate of Frederick Douglass High School. He was an Uber driver for the last eight years where he loved meeting new people to whom he gave rides. Ray loved playing Keno, lottery scratch offs and going to the Greene Turtle in Edgewater. Ray is survived by his mother and stepfather, Mary and Jim Downs of Edgewater; his sisters, Wendi (Kyle) Fields of Odenton and Lori McDonald of Edgewater; his grandmother, Virginia Loretta McDonald of North Beach; and his nieces and nephews, Cassie Rae, Carlie Jo, Bruce Owen and Cole Edward. He was preceded in death by his father, Raymond F. McDonald, Jr. Relatives and friends are invited to Ray’s visitation on Saturday, January 29 from 11am-1pm at Kalas Funeral Home and Crematory, 2973 Solomons Island Road, Edgewater. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Ray’s memory may be made to the American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 7023, Merrifield, VA 22116-7023
