aymond Willard Salkeld Jr., 77, of Annapolis, Md., born February 10, 1934, died on Monday, August 29, 2011 at Anne Arundel Medical Center after battling a long illness.
Ray graduated from Montgomery Blair High School in 1952, and went on to attend the University of Maryland. After serving two years in the U.S. Military he founded and owned Willard Packaging Co. in Gaithersburg, Md., since 1962. He and Sally, his wife of 55 years, enjoyed spending time in Vero Beach, Fla., boating in Annapolis, golfing, and being with family and friends.
He is survived by his wife, Sally Salkeld, and three sons, Dana of Derwood; Dale of Potomac; David of Laytonsville; sister, Marsha Renfro of Fenwick Island, Delaware, and eight grandchildren; Jessica, Christine, Brittney, Nicole, David Jr., Daniel, Jordan and Courtney. His love, vision, and never ending counsel will be strongly missed by his family.
