Raymond Stultz - Obituary

aymond N. Stultz, 67, a 5-year resident of Easton, MD and previously of Cape St. Claire in Annapolis, MD for many years, died on June 23, 2009 of lung cancer at the Memorial Hospital at Easton. Born November 23, 1941 in Bassett, VA, he graduated from Northwood High School in Silver Spring, MD. He served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Mr. Stultz was a member of Elevator Union Local #10 for most of his life, retiring in 1998. Raymond was an avid sports fan and played minor league baseball. His memberships included American Legion Post #7 in Annapolis, MD and the Annapolis Moose Lodge. Mr. Stultz enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, his dog, Champ and loved the time he spent living in Easton, MD. He was the beloved husband of Fran Stultz, whom he married on January 16, 1969; father of Tony Messick of Chestertown, MD, Rick Messick of Hurlock, MD, Tammy Stultz Conley of Annapolis, MD and Phillip Stultz of Annapolis, MD; brother of Roger Stultz of Columbia, MD; he is also survived by 8 grandchildren. Friends are invited to Raymond's Life Celebration on Tuesday, June 30, from 2 to 4pm and 6 to 8pm at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Road, Edgewater, MD. A funeral service will be offered on Wednesday, July 1 at 9:00am at St. Andrews United Methodist Church, 4 Wallace Manor Rd, Edgewater, MD. Interment Maryland Veterans Cemetery, Cheltenham, MD.
