Rebekah J. Rice - Obituary

ebekah “Becky” Rice, 67, a resident of Edgewater for over 20 years, and previously of Pittsburgh, PA, passed away at Anne Arundel Medical Center on March 23, 2024, after a short illness. Becky was born on October 13, 1956, in Pittsburgh, PA to the late Joe and Melva Brittian. She was a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania and the University of the District of Columbia, earning a Master’s degree in Nursing. She was an ICU Nurse and saved many lives throughout her career. Becky’s interests included swimming, planting flowers in her garden, and spending time with her grandchildren. She was a loving mother and an amazing wife who would do anything for her family and friends. Becky is survived by her husband of 35 years, John F. Rice, one son, Blake Rice of Edgewater, and daughters; Alexis Skiles Bronder and Ashton Bronder. Also survived by her grandchildren, Rowan and Brooklyn Skiles, and Knox and Knight Washington, and her siblings, Janice Hrach, Joseph Brittain, William Brittain, and Dave Brittain A Celebration of Rebekah's life will take place on Friday, April 5 at 11am at Bay Area Community Church, 884 Chesterfield Road, Annapolis, MD 21401.
