Regina A. Umberger - Obituary

egina Agnes Umberger, 86, died peacefully December 28, 2020, at her residence in Riva, MD. She was born December 11, 1934, in Exeter, PA., to the late Eugene Romanosky and Mary (Vacula) Romanosky. Regina graduated from Exeter High School, Class of 1951, and then attended a nursing program at Pittston, PA Hospital. In 1953, Regina married Dr. Francis Kopack, and together they had three children, David Kopack, Laura (Kopack) O’Liddy, and Alan Kopack. In 1974, Regina married Robert Umberger and enjoyed many happy years together until his death in 2019. Regina enjoyed spending time with her extended family, reading, and traveling to South Carolina and Florida in the winter months. She was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Edgewater, MD. In addition to her parents, Regina was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Robert Umberger; her former husband, Dr. Francis Kopack of Annapolis; and a brother, Mark Masley of Pittsburgh, PA. She is survived by her children, David Kopack, Laura Kopack O’Liddy, and Alan Kopack; her step-children, Susan Richards and Kent Umberger; four siblings, Edward Romanosky, John Masley, Paul Masley, and Mary Ellen Erwin; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be private.
