Regina Wilson - Obituary

egina Louise Wilson, 86, of Ft. Washington, MD, passed away peacefully on August 2, 2024. Born in Washington, DC on September 19, 1937 to the late Joseph and Ely Carroll. In 1961, Regina married the love her life, the late R. Timothy Wilson. They shared 53 wonderful years together raising 5 children. They were blessed with 11 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Regina had a playful spirit and was known for having a sincerely kind heart. She enjoyed doing crafts and spent countless hours knitting Christmas stockings, making quilts, and embroidering baby blankets, bibs, and burp cloths with her sister, Mary Jo. She is survived by her children, Donald Wilson, Kathleen Whiteside (Ronnie Scott), Timothy Wilson, Sean Wilson, and Regina (Albert) Whittington; her grandchildren Donnie, Meredith, Amy, Krissy, Samantha, Amanda, Kelsey, Dustin, Aleasha, Charlotte, and Ben as well as all of her great-grandchildren; her sister, Mary Jo Quillin (The Villages, FL) and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her beloved parents, Joseph and Ely Carroll, she was preceded in death by her husband, Tim. There will be a private viewing for family at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 8, 2024 followed by a graveside service at 11:00 a.m. at Washington National Cemetery in Suitland, MD.
