Rena Ann Houle - Obituary

ena Ann Schwarzmann Houle, 81, passed away peacefully on February 6, 2014, in Oxon Hill Maryland surrounded by her family. She was predeceased by her husband, Wilfred James and her parents Henry and Margaret Ellen Schwarzmann. Surviving are her six children and their families: Martha Ann Houle Stitt, Stephanie Stitt and Melanie Stitt Cole and her husband JB Cole; Mary Ellen Houle Olien and William Olien, Elizabeth, Christopher and Jonathan Olien; Rena Michele (Shelly) Houle Mascaro, Marcie Mascaro and Kenny Go and Nico and Tony Go, Maureen Mascaro and Michael Mascaro; Teresa Winifred Houle Mackey; James Henry Houle and Dawn Calloway and James Houle, Allysin Houle and Micala Houle; and Sharon Marie Houle Draher and Kevin Draher, David Draher and Jennifer Draher. She is survived her brother and his wife, John and Phyllis Schwarzmann of Memphis, Tennessee, and their son, Jay Schwarzmann and his family. Ann was born in Washington DC and lived in Oxon Hill, Maryland for 56 years. She worked as a cashier for Giant Food in Oxon Hill and Waldorf, Maryland. After retiring she enjoyed traveling with her friend, “Dutch” Sharper to visit family and friends around the country and in Europe. Baking cookies and making stained glass panels, baskets and gifts for her family and friends gave her immense pleasure in her retirement years. Relatives and friends are invited to Ann's Life Celebration on Saturday, February 8 from 10am until time of service at 11am at the GEORGE P. KALAS FUNERAL HOME, 6160 Oxon Hill Rd., Oxon Hill, MD.
