he Rev. Eileen C. House, 51, of Lothian, died of Wegener's disease Oct. 9 at the University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore after a three-month illness.
The Rev. House was born Nov. 22, 1955, in Baltimore, where she was reared and graduated from Loyola College in 1978. She earned a master's degree in divinity from the Yale Divinity School in New Haven, Conn.
After college, she worked as a respiratory therapist at the University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore. She served as associate rector at St. James' Episcopal Parish in Lothian following her ordination in 1990.
She enjoyed dogs and training them, and was involved with a Labrador retriever rescue organization. She was also well read and a fine writer, according to those close to her.
Surviving are two distant cousins.
A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. James' Parish in Lothian. Burial is private.
