Ricardo G. Sanchez - Obituary

t is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of RICARDO GACUTAN SANCHEZ of Rockville, MD on Friday, March 10, 2023, at the age of 71. He finally succumbed to the devastating effects of Alzheimer’s Disease after being diagnosed in 2017. Rick (aka Carding) was born & raised in Candon, Ilocos Sur, Philippines. He subsequently moved to the U.S. in 1987 in pursuit of a better life. He worked in Operations at First Virginia Bank, BB&T, and Wachovia /Wells Fargo Bank. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 32 years, Mary Henedina; his daughter, Kristen (son-in-law Brian); his son, Kenneth; sisters, Dolores, Virginia, and Dominga; brothers, Mariano and Jovencio; half-siblings, Romeo, Junior, and Greg; as well as numerous relatives and friends. The Viewing will start at 10 AM, on Thursday, March 23, 2023, followed by Funeral Mass at the Shrine of St. Jude Catholic Church in Rockville, MD. The Burial will then follow at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Silver Spring, MD. Details for the Funeral Reception will be announced at the end of the Funeral Service.
