Richard P. Connelly, of West River, MD, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 15, 2013 after battling ALS for the past three years. Born on August 22, 1961 in Camp Springs, MD to the late Jack and Ann Connelly, Rich has been a dedicated employee of AT&T for 14 years. Rich and his wife, Caren raised their children in West River, MD. Rich will be remembered for the kindness and caring that he brought to the world.
 In addition to his parents, Rich was preceded in death by his oldest sister, Molly Kemrite. He is survived by his loving wife, Caren Davis Connelly; two great children, Brennan and Kelly Connelly; five siblings , Anne Partello of Edgewater, Md., Kathleen Gallagher of Owings, Md., Dan Connelly of Rockville, Md., Tim Connelly of Lutherville, Md. and Tom Connelly of Stevensville, Md. Rich is also survived by wonderful group of nieces and nephews.
 Friends are invited to Rich’s Life Celebration on Thursday, January 17 from 5:00 to 8:00 pm at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Rd., Edgewater, MD. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Friday, January 18 at 11:00 am at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church, 101 Owensville Rd., West River, MD. Interment Resurrection Cemetery in Clinton, MD.
