ichard "Dick" Dykeman, 78, a resident of Annapolis, MD for over 40 years, and previously of Seattle, WA, died on Wednesday, November 10, 2021, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Born January 3, 1943, in Seattle, WA, to the late Carol Taylor and Glenn Dykeman, he graduated from the University of Washington with a bachelor of science in political science and journalism. Dick worked as an author, paralegal, and crossing guard. He was a member of Bay Ridge Christian Church and enjoyed writing, art, coins, and gardening. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Don Dykeman. Dick is survived by his wife of 47 years, Winnifred Saroch Dykeman; four children, Marcus (Leah Schell) Dykeman of Chestertown, MD, Katherine (Maj. Kyle Kapron) Kapron of Yuma, AZ, Jeffrey (Mattye Hamilton) Dykeman of Baltimore, MD, and Matthew (Blair Starnes Dykeman) Dykeman of Stone Mountain, GA; and three grandchildren, Everett Kapron, Margaret Kapron, and James Dykeman. Family and friends are invited to celebrate Bay Ridge Christian Church, 1071 Bay Ridge Road, Annapolis, MD on Saturday, November 27 at 1 PM.
