Richard Felesky - Obituary

ichard Paul Felesky, Sr. “Dick”, age 71, a seven year resident of Churchton, MD and formerly of Bowie, MD for more than forty years, died peacefully on Friday, February 5, 2010 of complications due to a traumatic brain injury. Born in Washington, D.C. on August 12, 1938, Dick graduated from Bladensburg High School in 1956 and was employed at Sears Roebuck & Co. for more than thirty years. A member of Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in West River, MD, Dick enjoyed antiques, spending time in Fenwick Island, DE at his beach home and attending his grandchildren's sporting events. Dick was married to the late Catherine Barsotti Felesky on September 6, 1958 and she died on November 4, 2007. He is survived by a son, Richard Felesky, Jr. of Edgewater, MD, two daughters, Sharon Warner of Davidsonville, MD and Suzanne Crawford of Chesapeake Beach, MD, a daughter in law, Linda Felesky of Edgewater, MD, two sons in law, Larry Warner of Davidsonville, MD and Patrick Crawford of Chesapeake Beach, MD, a brother, James Felesky of Churchton, MD and seven grandchildren, Alyssa and Cassandra Felesky, Rachel and Wesley Warner, Kenny, Mark and Natalie Crawford. Dick was also predeceased by a brother, Robert Felesky. The family will receive friends and family at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church, 101 Owensville Rd., West River, MD on Saturday, February 13 from 9:00AM until Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10:00AM. Interment private. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the University of MD, R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center, 110 S. Paca Street, Baltimore, MD 21201.
