Richard Groves - Obituary

n Monday, January 24, 2011, Richard Caryl Groves, the beloved husband of the late Retha Mae Groves; father of Richard Charles Groves (Gwenn); grandfather of Esther C. and Rebecca M. Groves. On Thursday, February 24, 2011, a Memorial Service will be held at the Oxon Hill United Methodist Church, 6400 Livingston Rd, Oxon Hill, MD 20745, at 11:30 am. Mr Groves was a member of the U.S. Navy Band and was a retired seargent with the U.S. Capital Police. A graveside service will be held at Arlington National Cemetery immediately following the 11:30 service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the Oxon Hill United Methodist Church, 6400 Livingston Rd, Oxon Hill, MD. 20745
