Richard Woods “Banjo Rich†Hudson,36,of Edgewater and formally of Laurel,Md. died of cancer October 14,in his home after a two year illness. Mr.Hudson was born February 29,1972 in Washington,D.C. and graduated from Ft. Meade High School. He worked as an Industrial Hygenist for Annapolis based International Academy and SaLUT,Inc. in Beltsville,Md. Rich's passion for music included his love of playing the banjo and Bluegrass music.He also enjoyed camping,hiking and mountain biking. He is preceded in death by his father James Hudson. Survivors include his wife Dana Nicodemus Hudson whom he married on October 18,2007.His brothers Matt Hudson of Annapolis and Marshall Hudson of Springfield,Va.,his mother Helen Woods Hudson of Heritage Harbour in Annapolis and three nephews,two nieces and one godson.
Friends are invited to Rich's Life Celebration on Saturday,October 25,2008 at 5PM until time of service at 5:30PM at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home 2973 Solomons Island Road Edgewater,Md.Interment will be private.
