Richard K. Nicholson - Obituary

ichard K. Nicholson, 71, a lifelong resident of Annapolis, passed away at the Mandrin Inpatient Care Center on Monday, January 15, 2018, surrounded by his family. Richard was born on October 19, 1946 in Cheverly, MD to the late Paul and Fern Nicholson. He served his country in the United States Army and was a self employed fence contractor. Richard was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan and loved watching his favorite NASCAR driver Tony Stewart. His other interests included Harley Davidson’s, animals and cars. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Elaine Nicholson, one daughter, Ginger Nicholson, his siblings; Paul, Wayne and Warren Nicholson, Ruby Tilton and Victoria Meeker. Friends are invited to celebrate Richard’s life on Thursday, January 18, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Road, Edgewater, MD 21037 where a funeral service will be held on Friday, January 19, 2018 at 11 a.m. Internment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to SPCA of Anne Arundel County, 1815 Bay Ridge Ave., Annapolis, MD 21403.
