Richard Towne Potts - Obituary

ichard Towne Potts, age 64, of Lonaconing, MD passed away at his residence on December 16, 2020 due to complications from the Corona Virus. Richard was born in Washington, D.C. on October 21, 1956 to the late Jack C. and Ruby Potts. He graduated from High School and attended college. He worked as an autobody shop manager early in his career. The past 20 years he was a claims adjuster for All State and Nationwide Insurance Companies. He loved to watch all of the local DC Sports teams. Richard is survived by his sons, Ricky (Makiyah) and Jerry (Deborah) Potts; his sisters, Patty and Marcia Potts and Donna Solis; grandfather of Kaylah, Richard III, Timothy, Noah, Nilah, Leah, Jacob, Aliviah, Ethan and Riley Potts. He is also survived by his former wife, Donna Marie Potts. Relatives and friends are invited to Richard's Life Celebration on Thursday, December 31, 2020 from 9:30 a.m. until time of services at 10:30 a.m. at the KALAS FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, 6160 Oxon Hill Road, Oxon Hill, MD. Interment Resurrection Cemetery, Clinton, MD.
