Richard Robinson - Obituary

ichard Ratcliffe Robinson, 75, of Washington, D.C. died November 4,2013. He was born to the late Oswald and Adria Robinson, February 19,1938 in Trenton, New Jersey. Richard graduated from Gonzaga College High School in 1955 and from Georgetown University in 1959 with degrees in Economics and Military Science. He is survived by his wife of 54 years Paula, his sons, Richard Jr., Mark and Brian his daughter Debra Keen, 6 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, his sister Edna Jones, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Richard worked for the US Census Bureau, and served in the US Army for 30 years. He would answer to dad, pop, pop pop, granddad and Colonel. Those who knew and loved him best would describe him as a kind, quiet man who was always willing to help out someone in need. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church at 2800 Pennsylvania Avenue SE Washington, D.C. on Friday November 15, 2013 at 11:00am. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made to the American Diabetes Association. Interment Arlington National Cemetery on Tuesday, February 11, 2014 at 1:00pm.
