Richard Snyder - Obituary

ichard Charles Snyder, Sr. "Buddy," a 45 year resident of Edgewater, died at his home on December 31, after a three year battle with lung cancer. Buddy was born February 16, 1933 in Pennsylvania to the late John and Viola Snyder. He served his country during the Korean War in the United States Air Force as an Airman First Class. He was a retired union electrician who built his own home and enjoyed playing Bingo. Buddy was predeceased by his wife, Marie Snyder; and his daughter, Rita Vance. He is survived by one son, Richard C. Snyder Jr. and his wife, Alicia, of Annapolis; and his son-in-law, Anthony Vance Sr. Also survived by six grandchildren, Jennifer, Malissa, Tiffany and Mary Snyder, Lisa Nash and Anthony Vance Jr.; and eight great-grandchildren. Friends are invited at a graveside service at 1 p.m. on Monday, January 6, at Lakemont Memorial Gardens, 900 W. Central Avenue, Davidsonville.
