Rita Veronica Cammer - Obituary

ita Veronica Cammer, a 59 year resident of Linthicum Heights, was called home to God on Friday, September 21, 2018. Rita was born on November 9, 1928, in Philadelphia, PA to the late Anthony and Catherine Calbro. She worked as an executive secretary for Phoenix Savings and Loan, for Leroy S. Applefeld, Esquire, and Cal Hubbard & Associates. Rita was a founding parishioner of St. Phillip Neri Catholic Church. She loved playing cards with her grandchildren & great-grandchildren. In her earlier year, she was a sponsor for the Andover Apaches cheerleading team and participated in many events for the LFYAA and was known for her pumpkin pies. In addition to her parents, Rita was predeceased by her husband of 35 years, Edward L. Cammer, Sr., five of six siblings, Frank Calbro, James Calbro, Helen Klaski, Alice Laskowski, and Joan Tiziana. She is survived by brother Gerald Calbro and her children, Edward L. Cammer, Jr. of Belair, Arlene Kolb (Joseph) of Edgewater, and Catherine A. Cammer of Linthicum Heights; seven grandchildren, Karen Kulp (Carl Jr.), Heather Adamson (James), Brittany Mills (Jayson), Alexis Kolb, Kaitlyn Cammer, Lauren Cammer, and Claire Cammer; great-grandchildren, Carl Joseph, Garrett, Hailey, Chelsea, Madyson, Jonathan, and Aiden. Friends are invited to celebrate Rita's life on Wednesday, September 26 from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Rd., Edgewater. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, September 27 at 09:30 a.m. at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 620 Bestgate Rd., Annapolis.
