n Sunday, October 16, 2011, Robert E. “Bobby B.” Boettcher, of Edgewater for 20 years and formerly of Annapolis, passed away suddenly at home.
Born July 18, 1941 to the late Earl H. and Frances Boettcher, Bobby B. attended Annapolis High School and then worked at Westinghouse before becoming superintendent of Ferguson Trenching Company for 33 years. Bobby B. loved animals, had played softball for many years and was an avid scratch off lottery ticket player.
Bobby B. is survived by his wife, Darlene Boettcher (nee Dammeyer) whom he married in 1967; his former wife, Carol VanCleve; son Christian Boettcher of Edgewater, daughter Mary Boettcher Ashton of Stevensville and brother Gregory Boettcher of Pasadena. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Joseph H. Jewell, V, and a daughter Deborah Boettcher Young.
Family and friends are invited to Bobby B.’s Life Celebration at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Rd., Edgewater, MD, on Thursday, October 20, from 6:00PM until his memorial service at 7:30PM. Interment private.
