Robert Burdick - Obituary

obert S. Burdick was born September 1, 1948. He entered the heavenly gates at the age of 67 on Wednesday, April 6, 2016. He was the son of the late Robert F. Burdick and Virginia E. Treadwell Burdick. He graduated from Northwood High School in 1967. He worked for Bell Atlantic for 27 years. He sang for the Alexandria Harmonizers Barbershop Chorus, S.P.E.B.S.Q.S.A. for years and won the International Championship. His most favorite thing to do was sing in church choirs and playing the piano for the children in Sunday school. He loved to sing solos for church. Mr. Burdick is survived by his wife Mary Jane Burdick, Sister Linda Disharoon, and children Rebekah, Rachel, Mary Elizabeth, Robert Matthew, and his wife Katie Ann. He has 7 grandchildren. Mr. Burdick always had a passion and love for his family and friends. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 16, 2016 at 11am at Providence Fort Washington United Methodist Church 10610 Old Fort Road Fort Washington, MD 20744. All are welcomed to attend. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Providence Fort Washington United Methodist Church.
