Robert Carres - Obituary

assed away in Arlington, on February 24, 2014. He proudly served in our US Navy, and received the Bronze Medal. He was a life member of the Masonic Lodge and a Shriner as well as many other things. He leaves to cherish his memory his daughter, Marlene Welch of Boynton Beach, FL, his daughter, Wanda Thompson of Grimesland, NC and his son, Robert L. Carres, Jr. of Arlington, VA, his brother, Louis Carres, his sister, Denise De Vore, three grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and one great-great grandaughter. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 65 years, Gloria Carres. A memorial service will be held at the Old Post Chapel, Ft. Myer, VA on Friday, August 1, 2014 at 11am followed by interment in Arlington National Cemetery. Friends are welcome to join the family at the Crystal City Sports Pub, 529 23rd St., Arlington, VA immediately following the interment.
