Robert Estep - Obituary

obert "Reds" Carroll Estep, a resident of Edgewater for over 60 years and previously of Woodmore in Prince George's County died on Tuesday, January 6, 2015. He was 89. Robert was born on February 19, 1925 in Prince George's County, MD. He was employed for the Anne Arundel County Department of Public Works; retiring after 36 years. Robert enjoyed gardening, mowing lawns and spending time with his family and grandson. He was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Margaret C. Estep in 2010; and 12 siblings. Robert is survived by three sons, Robert C. Estep, II of Edgewater, MD, Daniel Lee Estep and his wife, Danielle of Edgewater, MD and John Purdy of Connecticut; two sisters, Irene Windsorworth of Shady Side, MD and Mae Scarscinski of North Carolina; and one grandson, Robert James Estep of Edgewater, MD. A memorial service will be held at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Road, Edgewater, MD on Saturday, January 10, 2015 at 2pm. Interment private.
