Robert Fisher - Obituary

obert “Bobby” Boswell Fisher, 78, of Luray died on Wednesday, March 16, 2016. He was born to John T. Fisher Jr. & Ruth Middleton Fisher on September 11, 1937 in Washington, D.C. He was a devoted member of the Lady of the Valley Church in Luray, Virginia for 33 years, on April 30th 1983 he married Glenda Branam. His favorite sports were boating & fishing, he enjoyed traveling, gardening, picking crabs and spending time with his children, grandchildren, and friends. He was an avid volunteer for Page One and a 4th degree member of the Knights of Columbus. He served our country in the United States Army receiving two accommodations and was honorably discharged in 1958. Robert was preceded in death by his mother Ruth, father John, brother John (Jackie) T. Fisher and sister Theodora Robertson. He is survived by his loving wife Glenda Carol Fisher and their children Tereasa and Walt Burns, Paula and Thomas Craze and Deena Craze; his sisters Naomi Quattrocchi and Ruthie Mararac and brother Tom Fisher; his twelve grandchildren, one great grand-daughter and numerous nieces and nephews. Friends are invited to celebrate Robert’s life on Saturday, March 19th at 11:00am at Lady of the Valley Church in Luray, VA. Viewing services will be held on Sunday, March 20th from 2-5pm at Kalas Funeral Home in Oxon Hill, MD. Funeral service will be held on March 21st at 11:00am at St. Ignatius Church in Oxon Hill, MD. Interment Resurrection Cemetery.
