Robert “Bob” Andrew Goldberg Sr., an Annapolis resident, passed away Oct. 21, 2021 at George Washington University Hospital. He was 79 years old. Mr. Goldberg, son of the late Harry and Dora Goldberg of Conshohocken, Pa., was born Feb. 2, 1942 in Norristown, Pa. He was the youngest of three children. His sister, Rita T. (Marini) Jefferies, preceded him in death in 2018. His brother, Harry A. Goldberg, resides in Miami, Fla., with his wife, Theri. A 1964 graduate of Villanova University, he was vice president of his senior class and a member of the Navy ROTC. Mr. Goldberg began his service with the U.S. Marine Corps shortly after completion of his studies. He went on to serve his country as an air control officer during the Vietnam War, rising to the rank of Captain before his honorable discharge in 1968. Professionally, Mr. Goldberg spent more than three decades as a sales executive with several computer companies, including Sun Microsystems. He loved dogs, was an avid golfer and sports enthusiast, and also enjoyed traveling and spending time on his boat. Mr. Goldberg leaves behind a wife of 38 years, Pam Goldberg, and three children: Kristi (Erik) Shaffer, of Edgewater; Kim (Tim) Haynes, of Murrells Inlet, S.C.; and Rob Goldberg Jr., of Winterville, N.C. He is also survived by a grandchild, Kayla Moody, of Durham, N.C., and two step-children: Jodi Cohen Wrublik, of Carolina Forest, S.C., and Bradley Cohen, of Potomac; and three step-grandchildren: Bennett Wrublik and Sedona and Ashton Cohen. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered for Mr. Goldberg on Thursday, October, 28 at 10:30 a.m. at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 620 N. Bestgate Road Annapolis, MD. He will be laid to rest following the service in Garden of Remembrance Memorial Park, located at 14321 Comus Road in Clarksburg.
