Robert Holman - Obituary

n September 3rd, 2021, Robert Glen Holman Sr. “Bucky” passed away at the age of 77. Bucky was a loving father, partner, and grandfather. Bucky was preceded in death by his eldest son, Robert Holman Jr. He is survived by his life partner Rose Gearhart; children Charles Holman, Daniel Holman, William Holman, Sandy Morelli, Sherry Cummings and grandchildren Jacquelyn Knapp, Montgomery Petty, Robert Cummings, David Cummings, and Daniel Cummings; he was also expecting his great-granddaughter, Adilyn Knapp this coming November. Bucky was born March 24th, 1944, in Annapolis, Maryland to Ginny and Daniel Holman. He was a resident in Shady Side, Maryland for the past 45 years where he was a well-respected automobile mechanic. Bucky had a passion for classic cars, crabbing, fishing, tracking the potential storms and bird watching. He was also an avid bluegrass music lover and had quite the talent for playing the banjo. He was known for his quick wit, infectious smile, kind heart and the enormous love he had for his family and friends. All services will be held at Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Road, Edgewater, Maryland where flowers may be sent. The viewing services will be Tuesday September 7th, 2021, from 2-4pm and 6-8pm. The funeral will be Wednesday September 8th, 2021, at 1pm, with burial to follow in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Annapolis.
