obert “Bob” Kenneth Johnson, 66, a 56-year resident of Edgewater, Maryland and previously of the Capitol Heights area passed away at his home on November 16, 2025 from natural causes. Born on September 28, 1959 in Washington, DC to the late Albert and Audrey Gray, Bob began his education at Southern High School before going on to study sheetmetal working at Builders and Contractors Trade School. He was employed by Sheetmetal Workers Local 100 as well as United Sheetmetal in Capitol Heights, MD. He was a member of the union from 1986 until his retirement with disability in 2012. Bob was a parishioner at Our Lady of Perpetual Help. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, crabbing, welding, and most of all, hanging out with his family and friends. In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his daughter, Angela. His is survived by his wife of over 30 years, Lorraine Johnson; his children, Robert K., Christopher E., Robert A., and Andrea; his sister, Cheryl Tate; and his grandchildren, Noah Bonanno, Autumn Bonanno, and Ally Bonanno Shaia (Jacob).
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Bob's life on Tuesday, November 25 from 11 am to 1 pm at Kalas Funeral Home & Crematory, 2973 Solomons Island Road, Edgewater, MD 21037. Interment to follow at St. James Parish Cemetery, 5757 Solomons Island Road, Lothian, MD 20711.
