Robert E. Lee - Obituary

obert "Bob" E. Lee, 89, of Edgewater, MD, passed away peacefully on December 23, 2024. He was born on January 30, 1935, to the late William "Jim" James Lee and Cora Madeline Sears. Bob was a devoted husband to his wife, Louise, with whom he shared an incredible 70 years of marriage. They created countless memories together while traveling, camping, and exploring local yard sales, often spending cherished moments in their beautiful home in Edgewater. Bob deeply loved the water; fishing, crabbing, and boating were among his favorite pastimes. Many afternoons were spent on the pier with his beloved dog, Jake, by his side. In his early adulthood, Bob proudly served in the National Guard and was a lifetime member of the Elks Lodge. He dedicated his career to Nationwide until his retirement, earning a reputation for his hard work, kindness, and respect from those who knew him. Bob was preceded in death by his brother, John "Jack" W. Lee, and his son, Rocky Lee. He is survived by his loving wife, Louise Lee; daughter, Brenda (Lee) Little; sister, Susie (Lee) Beaulieu (Artie); and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and extended family who will miss him dearly. Family and friends are invited to celebrate Bob's life on Friday, January 3, from 11 am until his funeral service begins at noon.
