Robert Mayne - Obituary

obert Edward Mayne Jr., “Eddie” a four-year resident of Glen Burnie and previously of Harmans, MD, died at his home on Monday February 3, 2014 of natural causes. Eddie was born December 1, 1949 in Baltimore to the late Robert and Flossie Mayne, Sr. He proudly served in the US Marines and worked as a maintenance mechanic for St. Joe Container Corp. His hobbies included writing, and wood and metal working. Eddie was preceded in death by his wife Betty Jean Snyder Mayne, one daughter Sherry R. Mayne, and one sister Barbara K. Mayne. He is survived by two sons, Joseph E. Mayne, Sr. of Chestertown and Daniel Mayne of Salisbury, One brother, Ronald R. Mayne of Odenton and one sister Wanda Hoke of Mardela Springs, Md. Also survived by 8 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Friends may call on Thursday from 6-8pm at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Rd., Edgewater where a funeral service will be held at 11am on Friday, February 7, 2014. Interment Meadow Ridge Cemetery.
