Robert A. Sabin - Obituary

obert “Bob” Sabin, 78, a 31-year resident of Edgewater, Maryland and previously of Lanham, Maryland peacefully passed away at his home on February 18, 2026 following a 1-year battle with lung cancer. Bob was born on December 8, 1947 in Somerset, Pennsylvania. Bob graduated from DuVal High School in Seabrook, Maryland before serving our country in the United States Air Force. He later worked for the Prince George’s County School Board, as an Assistant Master Foreman, from which he retired. Bob was a member of the American Legion Post #226 and the Annapolis Elks Lodge #622. In his early years, he loved playing softball and going camping with his family and friends. He loved attending his grandchildren’s sports events and playing cornhole. He also enjoyed sitting on his back porch with a beverage listening to the oldies. Bob is survived by his beloved wife of 59 years, Donna Greene Sabin; his children, Kelly (Kelland) Ehrenfried of Bowie, MD and Wendy (Robert) Kendall of Edgewater, MD; his sister, Linda Kuntz of Tennessee; and his grandchildren, Alec and Megan Ehrenfried, Nicholas Kendall, and Drew Seminuk. Friends and family are invited to celebrate Bob’s life on Monday, February 23 from 6 to 8 pm at Kalas Funeral Home & Crematory, 2973 Solomons Island Road, Edgewater, MD, where his funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 24 at 10 am.
