obert “Rob” W. Saltzman, Jr., a 14 year resident of Edgewater, died on Wednesday, October 20, 2010 at Anne Arundel Medical Center from complications of ALS. Rob was 51.
Born June 22, 1959 to Robert W. and Joanne Rosetta Saltzman, Sr., he was a 1977 graduate of Largo High School. Rob was the owner of SEI Grounds Maintenance, a landscaping company based in Edgewater. He was a member of Chesapeake Christian Fellowship in Davidsonville and enjoyed coaching for the Mayo Athletic Assoc, especially his son’s baseball teams.
Rob’s interests include baseball, NASCAR, boating and he was an avid Redskins fan. He loved his 1995 Corvette and attending Hot Rod Shows in Ocean City.
In addition to his parents, Rob is survived by his wife Kelly Saltzman, whom he married in May of 1989, his sons; Brandon Saltzman of Richmond, VA, and Justin and Christopher Saltzman, both of Edgewater; his brothers James and Kenneth Saltzman, both of Ft. Lauderdale, FL and his sister Lori Mueller of Mayo, Maryland.
Friends are invited to Rob’s Life Celebration on Sunday, October 24, 2010 from 2-4 & 6-8pm at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Rd., Edgewater, MD. Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 25, at 11am at Chesapeake Christian Fellowship, 377 W. Central Avenue, Davidsonville, MD 21035. Interment Hillcrest Memorial Cemetery.
