obert L. Thompson, Jr., 72, of Chester, MD, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Tuesday, November 28, 2023, after a short five-month battle with cancer. He is survived by his wife, Karen; four children, Scott (Mollie), Chris, Amber (Craig), and Brad (Kari); eight grandchildren, Ryan, Michael, Jace, Kenna, Kieran, Elle, Emma, and Sloane; his father, Robert Thompson, Sr.; three siblings, Pat (Ed), Richard, and John (Vicky); a sister-in-law, Terri (Mark); and a host of family and friends. Family and friends are invited to celebrate Robert's life at Mid Atlantic Community Church, 2485 Davidsonville Rd., Gambrills, MD 21054, on Tuesday, December 5, from 10 am until his celebration of life begins at 11 am.
